Writing one’s legacy has the purpose of keeping a record of our personal life story. This year, seniors wrote scripts on their interests and created documentary pieces of their lives to preserve a legacy from K-12 grade. Some students interviewed their grandparents – a pair of twins found that their grandfather was in a work camp during the Holocaust. Another group created a documentary on global warming, and others interviewed their friends about their hopes for the future in a confusing world.
These Legacy pieces will be on shown by students on Tuesday evening, May 24th at the Plainsboro Public Library, 9 Van Doren Street, Plainsboro New Jersey from 6:00-7:30 PM.
If you are looking for writing ideas, writing a legacy piece about yourself or a point of research of personal interest is a way to begin. And once you have a final product, you can publish it on a blog, letters to the editor, share at a library, or put it away to create an anthology.
